On this Libertyville kitchen remodel and bathroom renovation, our clients wanted to expand the size of their kitchen which was small and cramped in an otherwise spacious house – not ideal for a busy family, or entertaining.
We created more space by converting the full bathroom adjacent to the kitchen into a powder room, pushing the walls back slightly. The back wall of the kitchen was also bumped out towards the backyard creating additional space around the dining area. White, floor to ceiling, custom cabinets from Loeb Design Group were installed, adding to the spacious feeling our clients wanted, while giving them more storage. A new island was designed to better suit the new space and flow of the kitchen. We brightened up this bigger space with puck lighting along the top of the glass cabinets, pendant lights above the new island and can-lighting throughout the kitchen. All new appliances and an artful backsplash were installed in the kitchen – and new fixtures and a furniture piece vanity in the powder room put the finishing touches on this renovation.
With the removal of a few small walls, taller, white cabinetry and additional, creative lighting – we were able to give our clients the bigger, more spacious and comfortable kitchen they were looking for – because no matter what, people always congregate in the kitchen!
